Fine arts of the Republic of Moldova<\/em><\/strong> summarizes the art which has been created in the space between the Dniester and the Prut from the first post-war decade to the present day. In fact, the authors of this volume have intended to develop a synthesis of the fine arts in our country, one which should be similar to that in the field of literature as several<\/p>\n collections and anthologies encompassing the literature of Bessarabia in the 20th and early 21st centuries have been edited so far.<\/p>\n This collection includes representative works of Bessarabian plastic artists from all fields: painting, sculpture, decorative arts, graphics, which combine, in their entirety, elements of traditionalism with those of modernism. The volume is conceived as a film in which there is no room to reassemble the frames and the viewer has to watch it in progress, as a whole, and the\u00a0creative junctures, which had once been considered cult hits, were not taken out of their context.<\/p>\n Minimum biographical information has been given about the selected authors as it was our intention to render as much space as possible to the works that successfully represent their artistic expression and originality.
